NPTC

Here to Serve

The Mission for NPTC is to provide compassionate therapy and clinical excellence to Darien and broader Fairfield County. If you want to address concerns in your life or in the life of your family or most intimate relationships, we are here to meet your needs and to help you reach your goals. The problems you are experiencing can be addressed in meaningful ways. We want to help you make sense of your problems and develop effective ways to overcome and manage them. Therapy can help you feel better and can help your relationships work better. Taking the first step towards change is often asking for help. We want to make this process as clear as possible. Please review the services we provide below and feel free to reach out with questions.

Services Provided

Individual Psychotherapy

Individuals work with an experienced mental health professional in a one-on-one setting to address personal issues. We want to provide a context in which you can explore your most significant concerns and help you begin your journey towards healing and change.

Couples
Therapy

Aiding couples with their communication, conflict management, trust, and relationship dynamics. Relationship therapy will help you understand healthy relationship principles and will also help you understand yourself in a deeper way as you will have opportunities to practice new skills with your partner. It is our hope that each partner will benefit from becoming more clearly seen and more deeply known in their relationship.

Family
Therapy

Supporting family members to help them better understand each other, support one another and address difficult situations. Family therapy is about helping families work more effectively and in so doing considers both individual and relational realities. As a result, family therapy will take into consideration the goals and perspectives of all those within the family system.

About NPTC

In the wake of the pandemic, our community, along with the world at large, experienced a troubling rise in mental health challenges. Rates of anxiety, depression, and suicide surged, and the mental health system struggled to keep up with the overwhelming demand. As a result, many individuals found themselves unable to access the critical care they needed.

Recognizing this urgent need, the leadership and members of NPC identified an underserved mission field right in our own community. Feeling compelled to respond, God inspired a group of generous donors and a diverse, talented team from NPC to turn this vision into reality. From this shared passion, the NPTC was born—a resource dedicated to providing accessible mental health care for those in Darien and surrounding areas.

Our Approach

NPTC is committed to serving individuals at any stage of their faith journey, from those who may not believe to those with a strong faith foundation. Our therapists offer a flexible approach to treatment, working with clients to provide care that aligns with their preferences—whether that be from a secular perspective or one that incorporates faith-based principles. We welcome everyone, regardless of religious background or belief.

We offer a wide range of services for individuals across the lifespan, from adolescence through adulthood. Our team provides individual therapy for those struggling with anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, life transitions, and more. We also offer couples and family therapy to assist with communication, conflict resolution, and relationship strengthening.

Cost & Insurance

As an out-of-network provider, NPTC does not accept private insurance. However, we provide invoices for out-of-network reimbursement, and scholarships are available to those who need financial assistance.
